About

CARL webb

Hello

My Career

Since leaving mainstream teaching in 2019 I worked as a STEM tutor for SATRO (Education Charity) until August 2025.  I also set up my own company called LearnPhotoRun.

My STEM Tutor role at SATRO was to develop and provide workshops, some of which have included Lego and micro:bit coding, engineering, electricity, rural roads and sustainability for a wide range of ages.  In addition I organised the Annual SATRO Problem Solving Challenge for Secondary Schools which involves teams from 40 or more schools.

Since March 2023 I have worked as a Design & Technology Tutor through my company LearnPhotoRun.   My online lessons cover GCSE Design & Technology and A Level Product Design for a range of examination boards.

The Future

From September 2025 I will be concentrating on my own business so I am now looking at other opportunities.  Please  contact me if you think I can help.

Why is my company called LearnPhotoRun?

Several years ago I had a big life change, relocated again, bought a motorbike, became a racing driver and started a company.

I am a qualified Secondary Design & Technology teacher, STEM tutor and personal tutor hence the “Learn”.
Photography has been a hobby of mine for a very long time and I have taken photographs at Bideford and Rushmoor Parkruns, the Julian Farrell 10k and event photography for SATRO and Sebastian’s Action Trust.  So that is “Photo”  explained and “Run” to some degree.  I am a runner winning medals at Surrey Masters level and I have coached and managed junior athletes at Camberley Athletic Club.

So the title summarises my life, my interests, my hobbies and my work.
